Our mission is to make bikes easily available and affordable to everyone everywhere. On 27 April 2016, Cycle.land launched in Oxford. In 2017, we expanded into Cambridge and Edinburgh. Now we are looking to scale fast while improve our operational excellence.

ROLE

You will be joining Cycle.land - a funded startup with global ambitions. You will be part of a fast pace work environment which strives to improve and showcase operational excellence.

You share our passion for bike sharing, work well in a startup environment, and want to be part of a team that is obsessed with seeing the world using more and more bicycles as a means of transport. Our main offices are in Oxford but we also have office space in Cambridge.

As Cycle.land bike mechanic, you will work closely with our founders, Customer Experience, and other team members. You will oversee the quality of bikes, schedule and maintain bikes as necessary. You will coordinate with the team but also be able to take charge and make judgement calls about operational tasks, projects, set ambitious goals and achieve them in time.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

2 years of technical experience bike repair/maintenance

 

BENEFITS

Initially, the role will start as a part-time (minimum 16 hours per week with more hours available as required) with flexible working hours.

Salary depends on experience (at least £9.5 per hour).

30 days holiday including bank holidays pro rata.

As Cycle.land Admin and Operations Assistant, you will work closely with our founders, Customer Experience, technical team, and other team members. You will be prepared to involve yourself in every aspect of the business and enjoy working and contributing in a fast-pace environment. You will be very closely involved with day-to-day operations.
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

Technical experience bike repair/maintenance

1 year management/leadership position

 

BENEFITS

Salary depends on experience. Includes a yearly salary (at least £19,000) and company share options.

As a Cycle.land bike courier, you will be moving heavy loads on a cargo bike so a high level of fitness is essential. Not only will you be moving bikes, you will need to oversee the quality of bikes, schedule and maintain bikes as necessary. You will be passionate about cycling and have a flexible lifestyle that fits in with working as a bike courier.

The good old English winter is creeping up on us so a thick skin is also a must!
