Zoology Community Bikes
With the Zoology Community Bikes we aim to comprehensively improve the cycling experience for Zoology staff and students. Please click here to check out how it works.
Cycle.land, supported by Oxford University Innovation, has launched a social marketplace for bike sharing in Oxford (www.cycle.land). Our aim is to create a tight knit community of bike sharers and optimise the quality and quantity of cycling in Oxford. We are keen to assist Zoology cyclists by designing, promoting and operating this bike sharing system for the Zoology department.
Zoology staff and students can use 3 regularly maintained pool bikes free of charge via an online booking system, for which you can sign up here. Bikes can be booked at any time. The bikes are situated in the secure bike storage to the left of the New Radcliffe House entrance.
If you need a bike for longer periods, just book one of the peer-to-peer bikes or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can figure something out!
You can also use our repair service for your private bike. Our bike mechanic will come to New Radcliffe House regularly to check and maintain the Zoology Community Bikes. If you would like our mechanic to do small repairs (e.g. flat tyres, rusty break cables) on your private bike as well, please just send an email to email@example.com and we will arrange a convenient time for the repair.
